THIS IS NEW LOCAL MEDIA
There are extraordinary things happening on your doorstep. Across Scotland, communities are enriched by innovators of unstinting perseverance - the makers and doers who are setting new benchmarks. Scotland is an interesting place, with interesting people. The Grapevine is their magazine.
Issue 11: The 2016 winter craft expo
Issue #11 of The Grapevine brings the champions of retail, design, and craft into sharper focus. We ask why Orkney inspires a legion of craftsmen; we explore Edinburgh's resilient art market in the face of economic woe; we meet a fashion house in Glasgow which is resurrecting a heritage brand; and we speak to a furniture maker at the forefront of Scottish artisanal luxury. We also have an extensive winter gift guide, as well as a retail survey with some heavy High Street criticism. Issue 11 will ship in early November, and is available to order here.
In issue 11, we welcome Gordon Miller to our pages with a regular column. Gordon is the founder and visionary behind the Scot Street style movement, a vast network of people from Scotland and beyond who care about how our country perceives itself. Read Gordon's column in issue 11.
The Grapevine is a magazine born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland. It was founded to bring local innovators and change makers to the front of our minds, and celebrate what makes our communities awesome. The magazine has certainly grown since then. Find out more here...
